The Birth of Jesus Foretold

Luke 1:26-38

Some thoughts on today's scripture

  • The angel said to Mary, ‘You will conceive and bear a son,’ not ‘Are you willing to conceive and bear a son?’ That is how God’s will come to us;
    in the things that happen to us; more than in the things we choose!
  • Nothing is impossible to God! In difficult times,
    it is good to remember that God is fully in charge of our world. Everything happens according to his plan. There is always hope.

We give thanks for Jesus!

Loving Lord and Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of Your Son.
Thank You for the glorious gospel of peace that is shed abroad in our hearts when we trust in His name.
Thank You for the Person of Jesus Christ,
Who laid aside His heavenly glory and was born to die so that we might be born-again and live.
