Jesus asks about what others say, but it is what Peter says that is important to him. Behind the words Jesus was not, for Peter, another great or admirable figure but was the one who could change his life.

Lord, I linger with this question: what are you to me?

I give witness to who Jesus is in my life, not only about what I say but by how I let Jesus change and reconfigure my priorities.
