Jesus calls the first disciples

And he said to them,
“Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.”
Immediately they left their nets and followed him.

Lord, we pray for:

• All affected by the bushfires, especially at this time our neighbours in Queanbeyan
• For the safety of firefighters as they fight the bush fires
• Wisdom for our Government and for all involved in responding in practical ways to the bushfires and for future planning

We give thanks:

• For all the firefighters, other emergency workers and volunteers who are assisting during the bushfire crisis
