who, though he was in the form of God,
did not regard equality with God
    as something to be exploited,
 but emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave,
    being born in human likeness.
And being found in human form,
    he humbled himself
and became obedient to the point of death—
    even death on a cross.

 Philippians 2:6-8

Time for a Home - Prayer
Lord, please remind us anew that our faith calls us to welcome the stranger, the refugee, the internally displaced, the other. Remind us that we are called to give generously, to share our gifts and talents, to respond in love, to be advocates for justice and mercy and to ensure that the voices of those who are suffering are heard and responded to.
We ask that you place it in our hearts to do good, seek justice and to rescue the oppressed. Challenge us to be radically kind, to continue to follow your call of love and hope. Amen
