Lord, we pray for:

All affected by the bushfires, the families of those killed, those who lost their homes, and those traumatised by the horrific experience of being in a fire’s path. Please comfort and strengthen all who are struggling emotionally and physically. Give them your peace as they continue to live their lives, and help them to rise above the terrible effects of these fires. Please also strengthen and guide firefighters who endure so much in protecting people & property.

Giving Thanks the New Year

Dear God, thank you that you make all things new. Thank you for all that you've allowed into our lives this past year, the good along with the hard things, which have reminded us how much we need you and rely on your presence filling us every single day.

A Blessing for the New Year

In this new year, may the grace and peace of Christ bless you now and in the days ahead.
May the Lord make your New Year a happy one. . . Not by shielding you from sorrow and pain, but by strengthening you to bear it if it comes.
